What you will do:
Your daily activities will focus on creating memorable guest experiences in a positive and professional manner that represents our brand and story. As a tasting room anchor, you are encouraged to tap into your own unique talents to share our story, our wines, and our winery home with guests who are joining us near and far. Hour hospitality team is entrusted to continue to provide the warm, friendly, and personal service our guest, members, and clients are accustomed to receiving.

 

Employees must be at least 21 years of age and must be able to work weekends, holidays, and special events as necessary, lift 60 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift, and stand/walk for long periods of time. Applicant should be flexible to work in person and remotely.

  • Able to work independently to preform daily tasks, but also be able to work as a team to achieve company goals

  • Must be able to follow instructions and execute a plan of action to preform group tastings in person and virtually

  • Possess the ability to seek information needed to complete tasks outside their normal duties 

  • Creatively to navigate through the current climate

  • Ambition to take on new responsibilities

 

Tasting Room Responsibilities:

  • Greet every guest and make each person feel welcome

  • Present our brand, story, winemaking techniques, and vineyard program to our guests in an engaging manner

  • Assist guests in selecting wines that suit them, based on the information they share

  • Must be confident in mastering POS systems while handling cash, managing appropriate discounts, and entering new guest information

  • Assist with special events as needed, and properly represent the winery at outside events as required

  • Answer phones, preform phone sales, and follow up with phone messages

  • Wash and polish daily glassware for the tasting room and for special events

  • Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of the tasting room as needed

  • Assist with wine inventory organization and weekly restocks

  • Partake in social media content with our guests, winemaker, and other clients

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

  • Must be able to lift to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
