Note from our winemaker, Matthew Villard:
"I created the I to share something special with our members. Every month I taste through all my different lots and barrels ― every month there's always 2 or 3 lots and 2 or 3 barrels that really stand out. Over the course of 15 months, the wine evolves and ages in the barrels showing different character. Each barrel is a little different, even within the same lot. The I is the wine straight from my favorite barrel after all that time, without any blending. I rack 30 gallons to a half barrel before creating our unique blends and keep it for 3 months in that 30 gal barrel and bottle it. At 30 gallons we only get 12 cases of finished wine so it is very limited.
